Our program will be presented by Jochen Janz and Bob Kindberg (with additional guest Cynthia McMahan).  They bred, raise, and train strictly German Shepherds with German blood lines and will be talking about their kennel and training.  If you’d like to know more about them, you can read more at their website: http://www.lachenerweg.de/

NC Veterinary School Animal nutritionist, Korinn Saker, will be our guest speaker.  She will be discussing some of the many areas of animal nutrition. Since the arena of animal nutrition is so large she has agreed to speak at more than one club meeting this year.

March

To Be Announced – Currently I have contacted the AKC to see if some one is available to come discuss how to put on a dog show in preparation for the club’s annual Specialty Show later in March.

 

We will also have a club sign-up list for show needs such as moving and setting up tables, etc.

March 21 & 22

The German Shepherd Dog Club of Greater Raleigh’s annual Specialty Show in the Jim Graham Building at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds.  See the Upcoming Show Information on this website for details.

The May meeting will take place Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at the usual place and usual time. 
 
The speaker will be Jason Reitmeyer, Certified Master Trainer of Best Paw Forward Dog Education. To Be AnnouncedPhil Medlin with the Raleigh Police Department and his new dog in training. I'm hoping he will do a drug search demo however he is always enjoyable.

To Be AnnouncedRobert Mann with North Carolina Division of Emergency Management will be speaking about being prepared for sheltering our pets in the event of a hurricane or similar type natural disaster
