History of Our Club The GSDC of Gr Raleigh was initially
incorporated on January 15, 1968. It's incorporators were Robert C Speight, John
Bruce Chappell & Fay E Hensley. The first Board members were Peter Eggimann,
Thomas H Woodcock, Jr., Peggy Adlaberg, Patricia G Babuin,Rachel
S Chappell, John B Keith, Robert C Speight, Nan Speight & Paul
Haynam.

Our Charter/Purpose: The Improvement of the German Shepherd Dog through
the education of the Club's members and the public at large. This shall be accomplished
through the promulgation and promotion of the official standard of the German Shepherd Dog as
approved by the American Kennel Club, through the holding of sanctioned and licensed specialty shows and
obedience trial, and through the holding of lectures and demonstrations in all aspects
of the proper breeding, selection, care and training of German Shepherd Dogs.
